Hi, I'm Ben! I'm 38 years old and living in Tuscany since 2023 with my partner (Lucas, from Brazil) and our little dog, Nuno.
I grew up in the picturesque Black Forest of Germany, surrounded by art from a young age. I am a deeply curious individual with a passion for travel and immersing myself in different cultures, a journey that has continually shaped my creative nature. I'm drawn to antiques and objects that spark my curiosity with their hidden stories. I love art, design, ceramics, food and fashion (especially quirky shoes).
Growing close to art and nature sparked my creative side, but my background in engineering taught me the value of structure, precision, and detail. My photography is where these two worlds collide.
This portfolio is a reflection of my lifelong exploration—a collection of moments and objects captured through my lenses. I'm a photographer working between observation and atmosphere. My work focuses on fleeting moments in urban environments - gestures, light and subtle tension of everyday life.
Moving between cites, I approach unfamiliar places with the same attention I give to my own surroundings. Street and travel merge into a continuous exploration of presence and impermanence.
Working with both digital and 35mm film, I am drawn to texture, grain, and the quiet unpredictability of the medium.
